Husby-Sjutolft church was built as a Gothic hall church around 1300. The tower is from beginning of 15th century. Around 1475 the porch was built for the south entrance of the church. At the same time the barrel vailt was replaced by vaults made by bricks. For some reason the vaults were reconstructed at end of the 17th century and the walls were lime-washed.
At end of the 15th century the church was was painted by Albertus Pictor. He has put his signature above the entrance to the vestry.
The altarpiece is from end of the 15th century and made in Lübeck, Germany.
